About our foster placements

Moments Fostering has many different types of placements available. Placement duration can range from 24 hour emergency placement or a few days offering respite to another foster carer, to a long term placement for many years. You may be fostering an infant, teenager or young person preparing for independence. There is always variety in fostering. Within our policy development we always take into account a young person's religious, linguistic, racial and cultural background and wherever possible we match our carers' skills and experience to the childrens' needs.

Bridging foster placements

Moments are often asked if we can organise adoption. Whilst we are not involved in this process, we do offer bridging to adoption placements and bridging to reunification with birth parents. This process is generally part of a child's care plan that can last up to two years. Bridging involves working with families and other agencies to prepare the child or young person for this next step.
